Everything, Everything – Nicola Yoon

Synopsis –

My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.

But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.

Review –

The plot sounds awesome and I did like the book but it was the same as every other contempory book I have read. Two troubled teens meet, chat and fall in love.  It seems very unrealistic though because in my mind a girl like Maddy would be so frsutrated and angsty but she doesn’t care. She spends all her time with her mother and even when her mother is being mean anf selfish, Madeline just brushes it off and forgives her…

I felt nothing for our poor sick character which was frustrating because I knew that I was supposed to. She was so boring and she kept forgiving her mother even when she was being a cow…. It is a fun read, If not a little frustrating at times. The end is rushed and the plot twist wasn’t really shocking.

It’s the kind of book you would sit down and read in a day just for fun. I won’t re-read it but i’m glad I read it. The romance is cute and there is a ” happily ever after”.
